The northern province of Ninh Binh welcomed around 5.3 million tourists in the first half of this year, up nearly 5.3 percent year-on-year, and earned a tourism revenue of 1.8 trillionVND.

The Ninh Binh provincial Department of Tourism has reported that tourist arrivals to the province are estimated to hit 6 million in the past nine months of 2017 ,expanding by 10.1percent compared to the same period last year.

Tourism will become a key economic sector of the northern province of Ninh Binh by 2025, local officials said at a tourism conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 8.
